“Born in a small mining town in the centre of France, I escaped as soon as I could. Sunlight was my fuel.
From the city I took the path to the countryside, ever further south, with a few urban stopovers: the Beaux‑Arts in Beaune, then Lyon, and finally Provence where I lived for nearly two decades.
Marrakech made my head spin. Then Morocco, with that irrepressible need for space and nature—a love at first sight for an estate planted with olive and pomegranate trees.
Almost twenty years later, here I am living in Spain, in a small mountain village overlooking the Costa Blanca, in the province of Alicante.
I would say I am a painter when I paint, a decorator when I design spaces, a cook when I cook. In Morocco I was the architect and the builder of my own house—a project that lasted several years.
Today I have become a painter again.
Today I have become a painter again.
The craftsman of my thought, of my vision, of what delights me every day. A living painter, as one might say a ‘bon vivant.’
As a witness to a fire in the valley below my house, I painted the memory of that fascinating spectacle, despite the fear of imminent danger.
From that were born the series "Saisons" and "Incendie".
